Monday Update

I walked! I decided last night that I was going to get up and walk this morning and I did! I wore my post-op show because my foot is still too swollen for my sneaker. And my toes got unpleasantly wet from the dew on the grass on the canal path. But I walked the .7 miles to the locks and back (1.4 mi total). Not fast. But not limpingly slow either. And I'm going to do it tomorrow morning too. And perhaps again later this afternoon.

Yay! Walking!

Down 1.5 lbs from last week. Had rice three times as a comfort food this week. Makes me feel physically blah though. It's its own reward not to eat it. Bob is down two pounds. Yay!

Bob bought stuff to make grain-free pumpkin pie this week. (Basically pumpkin custard since you don't make the crust.) I can't wait!

Got more squash to cook for squash soup today. Nom nom nom. I love eating local, seasonal things. Maybe someday we'll have a garden, but we're both really too lazy to tend it. Besides, buying from my neighbours makes the economy grow.

I may write about one of my favourite authors later. But right now, too much work to do!
