Last night, I had another rather trivial dream. I had to restring Alex's Les Paul and tune it. Restringing was a feat in itself. Shortly after finishing an unsure tuning job, the G and high E strings snapped.

Strings snapping is one the worst feelings in the known world.

I had a dream the other night. Patrick, our housemate Ryan, and I were in the back of this small, private jet. There was a TV in the back and we were watching Jurassic Park. Then we started to take off and it was kind of bumpy. Some ways into the movie, I look outside the window and I noticed we never really took off, we were just going really, really fast on the interstate, and it was a big, spiraling upwards road, going higher and higher. We were passing cars and everyone was pretty nervous because it felt pretty scary, but I just told myself, "they know what they're doing, it's all good." Then we broke over the guard rail and started falling, and I thought maybe this was how we were supposed to take off, but that didn't really hold up because we kept falling down and spinning slightly. It was all sunny outside and suddenly there's an open cargo door in the side of the plane and I see lake union and the the Seattle skyline and all that as we fall, then we hit the lake. Water started coming in and the plane is obviously about to start sinking, and everyone is yelling crazy things and a few profanities and things, but I was just laughing slightly because I couldn't believe this had just really happened. It was really cool until I noticed my foot is now stuck between two seat cushions, and I was going to have a hard time wrangling it out to swim to shore. So I got really nervous and then I woke up all movie-like, with a big breath and all sweaty. It was really, really strange.

That is awesome. So weird, but so incredibly humorous. I forgot one part of my dream until just this evening: I had also found one, and only one, bottle of Fentiman's Tonic Water. I was guarding it like a precious family heirloom. The sole reason for my excitement was because I've heard that it makes for a fantastic gin & tonic. They also make wonderful beverages beside tonic water, such as ginger beer and shandy, so I was already pretty confident. Then I woke up and was disappointed.
