(no subject)
I'm writing my final paper for my "women directors" class on Kimberly Pierce, or more specifically, her film, "Boys Don't Cry." I've been doing some research and I came across this page:

Although it's not completely horrific, this reviewer is in the dark about the subject, and what the film was for and about. I found the wording of this piece very offensive and even disturbing. When I hear about stories like Brandon's they completely break my heart, but I hope that at least it's appearance in the media will bring awareness to the issue. Having read this review, it kills me to see that the issues were lost on this viewer.
