Kids and MUD

And still, my kids continue to be awesome! Having reached the home stretch of the library's summer reading program they are currently ensconced with Fred's room, reading. That's right, reading! It's amazing the things that happen when you turn off the tv, or when someone gets video games restricted. *cough cough* It's amazing how filling in a little chart can motivate people.

I am a little bit sad to say that I have fallen off the book reading train and have rolled back the clock about 15 years on my life to jump back into MUDding with both feet. MUD stands for Multi User Dungeon and is a sort of computer run, online Dungeons and Dragons. Runescape without graphics. OOh, or think World of Warcraft before graphics.

I've been going to my mud, Ragnarok, since about 1995. It predates my husband and my family and the friends that I made over those years are still coming round! If only I could practice AND mud or make reeds and mud, the world would be a not-nearly-perfect-but-oh-so-fun-and-more-miraculous place.
