Of all things, probably the stupidest to criticize is patience.
Clouds triumph over the sun for a day, basement furnaces break down, and pretty blond girls who can quote Star Wars babysit longer than they'd planned, and so you wrap a scarf around your neck, light some candles strategically positioned around the living room, and save the leftover pizza for lunch tomorrow. What else is there to do? Light up, listen to some Mountain Goats, do a little writing. Mordecai will play some videogames, and when that's over and done with, I'll put on Falling Down, and get a good night's sleep.
