Today was a funny day.
I slept through my first two classes because when I woke up at eight o'clock I was feeling depressed.
Then I woke up at eleven and hurried to shower and eat breakfast so I could finish a response paper by 12:15, when I thought I had to leave to make it to class on time.
But it was raining ice today, rendering the walk to campus impossible. It took twice as long to get anywhere.
My history class was ok: we watched a video my professor was an adviser on, it was about
George Washington and the battles of Fort Necessity and Duquesne. Kind of neat. Narrated by Graham Greene.
ENG 460 was ok. I really didn't like
the book we were finishing discussion on, and I made sure I let everybody know why. (It was because of the deus ex machina.)
Then they closed campus at 3:15, and I didn't have to go to my last class, which was awesome because I hate that class.
Instead of going to class, I went up to WeLiveTogether and Joey and I exchanged each other's writing and it was fun to see what the other of us was working on. Joey's a pretty good writer.
Now we're all home, hanging out, having a pizza party. And
the new book we're reading for ENG 460 is really good so far. I guess it's smart for the writer to read the contemporary female's fiction, hone in on the tone of the POV.
(What was the name of that Saturday morning live action show about the kid who spied on everything his family did from a hallway closet?)
What a funny day.
