WHY NOW
Um go and cheer in my name too plz.
I won't even bother to list all the sold-out London gigs that are also breaking my heart, but I AM defo seeing the Franzypants, and I guess it's time to try and catch lesser-known awesomeness which isn't met by overwhelming public demand and which I would never ever get to see in Hungary. Here's hoping that Au Revoir Simone, Bat For Lashes, the Fiery Furnaces, 65daysofstatic and Spritualized (!!!) don't sell out before I get my hands on that Erasmus grant. It's gonna be fucking amazing anyway.
Apart from the fact that I'm not sure where I'm going to live but that's sort of irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, right?
UCL offered me a single room in one of their super-duper student houses. For 120 pounds a week. I don't need a single room, I'd take a bed in a room for five if they had such a thing! The outcome of the battle of humane vs. cheap is obvious, if I had a choice. Also, their offer came in the post on or after 10 August (I wasn't at home) and the offer lapsed if I didn't give a reply until 14 August - I could not have answered in time even if I had been at home. And I would have had to decline the offer anyway. The hunt for (dingy) flats and rooms commences as soon as I get to England, I suppose.
ETA: oh and Noel's quit Oasis. (again.)
Now I feel really great. :(
