No it doesn't. Ever.
Aside from that, what a FUCKING GREAT DAY. Possibly huge rambling ahead.
First, yesterday.
Anti-Flag was the first thing on the Main Stage. We watched it from the side, sort of in the shade, but not really. It was excellent, kudos to the guys for moving the crowd like that at 3pm. They seemed to be lloving it, proclaimed that they'd be back, and that "if I died today, I would die happy, because I am among family! You are my brothers and sisters!" They also managed to make people create the the "biggest circle pits ever in Hungary" one each on the two sides, quite a sight to see.
Next up MGMT, we went straight in, third row or so. And it was a letdown. They have an album full of great music, but the concert was thoroughly underwhelming. The sound was totally off, the bass too loud and the vocals almost inaudible. Andrew seemed really shy and hardly talked, they didn't look like they were into it or anything. The guitarist did some mean stuff, though, and Ben is hot. And it was great to be a part of a mass of a few thousand people all chanting the "Time To Pretend" synth riff in unison. They played everything from the album, finished with "Kids." I got a bit emotional, I love that song so fucking much.
It was nearly 6pm by then, and I hadn't eaten yet so I went back to the tent and ended up missing the first half-hour of Flogging Molly. But what I caught was FANFUCKINGTASTIC! I hope Dave King wasn't just being overenthusiastic or polite when he said they were "coming fooking back!" He also said it had taken them more than 30 hours to get here, and he was really jet-lagged. Didn't sound like it. Tens of thousands of people suddenly all realised they could dance (me included), and there was so much dust in the air that the stage was hardly visible.
We went really far ahead again for Alanis Morissette (I got a beer before we did, Flogging Molly made me really feel like having one). Wow. She and her band were just amazing. She ran up and down the stage, headbanged and shook all that hair leikwoa. Sang fucking amazingly, too. I would've liked to head "Hands Clean" and a couple of others, but everything they played was brilliant. Oh yeah, Zsófi wanted it but was not really hoping it would be that way, but yes she sang "It's meeting the man of my dreams and then meeting his beautiful husband." And everyone screamed.
Zsófi left, I stayed in for The Kooks. Lovely, adorable, charming; Luke Pritchard in the tightest, skinniest jeans I have ever seen, saying "jonapot...?" to us, making everyone sit down on the ground for a bit, but seriously, in the headliner slot? No. Their music gets sort of, I mean, really samey and it's not that electrifying even on a britpop level. I got out of the thick of it after about 50 minutes because my legs were killing me. I watched them perform "Naïve" from the side, leaning against the barrier, then went and caught the last two songs at A Kutya Vacsorája. Frontman sexiness? Livius haz it.
We chilled at Žagar later on, then went to sleep.
Got up today at 11am, went to town, had a shower - and now it feels like I haven't had a shower in about two weeks.
Shit they're closing. I'll tell you about this amazing day later. LOLZ.
