I don't really feel like posting nowadays, but here I go.
The weekend was wonderful, professional lounging out in the green all day, just peace, love, sunshine, chocolate and all that.
I got an A in English and Informatics. AAAND I started studying Philosophy. I'm amazed at myself. Although I should continue today and I haven't really started yet... Meh.
I think a large proportion of the youth of America/the pensioners of Germany can be found in Váci Street at any moment during the daytime. What's the appeal, you guys, seriously? If I was a tourist here, a street specifically maintained for and already riddled with tourists would be the last place I'd go to. I only go there because the international bookshop and the nearest cash dispenser of my bank are there. ...okay, and because it's kept nice and clean, unlike the rest of the city.
Today was lovely. I realised I was unable to get up at seven to go to Macroeconomics, so I missed our last lecture with Rufus, but I got some sleep at last, for God's sake. I got into town some time around noon, and just felt amazing listening to music walking round the National Museum, pretending not to have a care in the world. The weather, though. It makes me want to be at Balaton. As soon as all my exams are over, I'll head down there no matter what. When you feel the dry smell of cut grass and the sun is genuinely ~burning~ your eyes, a bloody big lake is the place to be. K, it rains a bit every day and the water is probably still freezing cold, but still oohhhh mmmm nnnngh Balaton.
So then Info class was great, it always was, anyway, when I wasn't upset about how Excel and I hate each other. A solid hour's constant laughing with Miki. The final test went well. Guy: "Uh, um, guys, what's a Google API?" Everyone: "LOLOLOL!" Guy: "Wait, I know, I'll just Google it! define:API" Other guy: "Wowza, he can use a define: prefix, there's actually hope there."
I bought Second Coming by The Stone Roses and a Franz Ferdinand single at a used CD shop. Six and two euros, repsectively, ftw y/y.
[Edit: Whatever people's problem with that album is? fuck I love it. The Zeppelin influence did not pass me by. Mmm.]
OMFG cinemas start showing Shine A Light next week. I didn't think it'd even get a proper theatrical release here, ever. Yay.
The last House episode SERIOUSLY DAMAGED MY HETEROSEXUALITY OH GOD.
Edit again: nicking this from
phoebeagle, ask me about seven interest if you feel like it, at least I'll have something to post about next time.
Aaah, one more thing! I nearly forgot. I talked quite a lot to my roomate and her friend Vanessza on Tuesday. At one point I was at the computer, and Vanessza kept looking at what I was doing (God I hate that. DON'T.) And suddenly she was like, "Muse... I know one song by them." I was like, "Is that right? Which one?" Vanessza: "It was around when I was in 9th grade... The one where they're dancing on the table, it's really good!" The table in ~the war room~ ooooh. Yeah, k, this was pointless. But Vanessza, who isn't exactly the wits of the nation, is a bit more okay for that. LOLOL.
Some time after that my roommate suddenly asked us, "Do you think there can be real friendship between a girl and a boy?" Both of us immediately answered, "Duh, yes." She was just asking because a friend of hers had been friends with this guy for ages, and they'd always sworn there was nothing going on, but then last week they suddenly hooked up. What do you guys think? Is there always some degree of sexual tension on at least one side? Is there not?
