Don't be afraid to let your colors shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine

For the longest time I was very averse to the 'return of the skinny trousers' trend. When everyone first began to notice it, me and several high school mates swore we'd keep on wearing flares for ever. I loved me them bell bottoms anyway, but my personal reason for this was that I thought I was fat (I was a horrible, sexually frustrated teenager, okay?) and drainpipe jeans would obviously highlight the dreadful enormity of my thighs.
Fortunately, a while ago I stopped giving a fuck about whether or not my legs look big. So I gradually started wearing ordinary straight jeans, then I got a pretty tight pair and all that shiz. This weekend I got ahold of a rather glorious, extra-skinny grey pair. It didn't exactly fit me round the hips and waist (if you are tall, you are also bootylicious. OBVIOUSLY.) but it was long enough, and usually that's the only thing that matters. I got aunt Ica to fix them a little so they would fit better, and now they are perfect.
I tried them on just now, while Origin of Symmetry was/is blasting from my beloved pouffe-sized speakers. My mother needs to nose into everything, so she was there, and the following conversation unfolded.

"Dear God, can you even move your legs in that??"
"'Course I can, they're all nice and stretchy."
"This sort of jeans is just incredible... Makes you look very skinny."
"Even some guys wear these, too, you know."
"What??? But they're so girly!!"
"The drummer from Muse, you know, the music that's playing, he wears them, too, except they're not grey but yellow and pink and stuff."
"Well, maybe that... implies something."

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I am not even going to say anything more.

talk, fashionista!, myooooz
