(no subject)
How awesome is my boyfriend?
78 different kinds, that's how!
He called me on Monday night and told me he'd spent a few hours trying to buy us one-day tickets for the Reading Festival, and he succeeded! So we'll get to see Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bloc Party, and Arcade Fire (again, after I got to see them last Saturday!)
So that was cool enough as it was, seeing as how I've never been to a festival. Verrrry excited.
And THEN...
He rings last night, and says that his Dad has gotten weekend tickets for his family, plus me and Richard's sisters boyfriend to the V Festival!
The festivals are on consecutive weekends.
And in between them, we're seeing Sonic Youth in London.
August... Will... Rock. :-)
And before then we're also seeing Explosions In The Sky, Modest Mouse, and Beirut. Having a music nerd for a boyfriend has its perks! Also, it's his birthday today (27 - aww!). Happy birthday again, Richard!
Got some good news at Uni today too; one of our tutors is very impressed by the preliminary interviews we've done for our documentary project, and has offered us some pretty useful advice. We're planning on filming on Wednesday and Thursday next week, so that should be fun (and hectic!). We're also planning to film in a nightclub for it, so we're anticipating a lot of sound/lighting issues as well as drunk people trying to steal our equipment. Think we may have to recruit half the rugby society to work as bodyguards for us that night!
And at least after that I have my Easter break. Three weeks off! Can't wait. Also? 100 days till I move to London. *does a little dance*
