I have fanart, whoooo~

I have some fanart. Yaaaaay!

Well. I know my last . . . art endeavor was not received too well. So, here I am to try again. I've realized that I haven;t been trying as hard as I should be. >.<

I've been writing with total abandon for months and months, but for some reason, my art has felt . . . held back, for a while. A long time, really, years, I think it's been. I haven't drawn like I drew this piece in a while. I used graphite, this time. It's always been my best.

Sorry it's kinda big. It may screw with my layout (which I redid today~), so ignore any weirdness. *waves hands noncommittally*

I also have a print available~ And, oh, hell. I want to kill dA. I originally uploaded the wrong, unedited image to dA. I fixed it, but it seems it didn't work for the print version. Lemme know if it looks wonky, or if anyone knows how to fix it. ""^^

So, here we are.

Also, non-friend comments are now screened. Please be nice. I hate having to block stuff. >.<

And Every Breath We Drew Was Hallelujah

Here's the print!

Hallelujah (Immi's version) by Imogen Heap

Have a listen~

"Baby I've been here before, /I've seen this room and I've walked this floor. / I used to live alone, before I knew you. / I've seen your flag on the marble arch / but love is not some victory march, / it's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah.

Hallelujah, / Hallelujah, / Hallelujah, / Hallelujah.

There was a time when you let me know / what's really going on below. / But now you never show that to me
do you? Remember when I moved in you, / and the holy dove was moving too?

And every breath we drew was Hallelujah.

Hallelujah, / Hallelujah, / Hallelujah / Hallelujah . . ."

It's such a . . . raw song. I can't imagine how much effort it took the original artist to bare their soul in such a profound way. Especially in this version by Miss Heap, singing it a capella makes it so vulnerable.

This is a concept based on Kid's and Soul's struggle with insanity. The song "Hallelujah" is about struggle. Everyone has their "thing," their "Little Oni," if you will.

It's also very much about relationships, and love obviously plays a very strong role in the series of Soul Eater, even if it's not straight-out said. Going insane obviously puts a strain on Kid's and Soul's relationships with their partners, whether things turn out to be romantic or not. I think this song fits quite well, particularly in this version. =_=

Eh . . . I'm sort of exposing my soul a bit, here, too. I drew this from my heart, simply because everyone's been in a low or difficult place at one point in their life, and if they haven't, they will be, eventually. So, I drew this from that place.

Tell me what you all think!
