I'm not sure, now, whether you meant you wanted to know about the magazine in general or whether it was the "Guilty Pleasures" issue specifically.
The magazine is kind of a culture/arts/philosophy/personal mulling magazine, though it's got a heavy book review component and is gradually expanding to include reviews of other sorts too.
There's a theme issue every three months or so, and that one was, of course, "Guilty Pleasures." My own column (Roving Observer) is written kind of as a combination sociology/philosophy/world view kind of thing. There are some more specialty columns (such as "Paws," which relates animals and life themes, or "I'm the Mom"). And of course there is "Canada for Beginners," where two or three of the Canadian writers explain certain things about Canada to non-Canadians.
September was another theme issue, about heroes.
