Work and fun.
Ah...my Saturday. It has been busy this past week at work; just glad its over. Made a spin on (in my opinion) a traditional dessert - tiramisu. Instead of making it the traditional way, I made a spiced blini, marscapone mousse, and topped with coffee 'caviar'. This concotion was used for Saturday temptations - a nice mid-day snake for those people who are staying at the inn. The tiramisu came out great; however there is one element that I would change about the whole thing - the coffee 'caviar'. The 'caviar' was too weak in flavor. It need more umph; which is an easy remedy.
My trip down to VA Beach was great. I had lots of fun with Leslie and Carl - great food, awesome company, relaxing / watching movies, great food, loads of fun. I can't wait to see them again. I need to start making monthly if not bi-monthly trips down to VA Beach to hang out with them. I have to say, VA Beach is growing. Every time I'm down there, something new has popped up while something old was torn down.
Got a lot of running around to do this weekend. Need to get my car expected, oil changed, scouting several bakeries, lunch at City Square, pay bill (fun >_< ), and several other things that elude me right now. In between all of that, I just want to veg out, and catch up on The Tudors and Metalocalypse. I have to give thanks to Leslie, she got me addicted to Metalocalypse.
I should be off. Have a lot of running around to do, and don't want to spend the good portion of the day in traffic.
