Today's Procrastination Brought To You By Microsoft
My last minutes of vacation are running out as I write...
I discovered yesterday that the first three pages of my term paper are now ASCII gibberish. This did not help my already subterranean motivation levels. Now that I've run every possible system utility, backed up everything to an external drive, and finished off a Scrabulous game, it's time to face re-creating a day's work (getting started is the hardest part for me). Still no grade in my law class, and no word on my application to change departments. Wish there was some system by which I could delay starting the semester one day for every day I don't hear from the faculty... :P
Had a wonderful time at breakfast with

neoteny: i. and I have known each other through LJ for a *really long time,* which struck me as we talked - we've been through a hell of a lot of history in each other's lives, if at a remove.
neoteny is terrific too - we had a great conversation. If school was only as intellectually stimulating and congenial!
I've been totally outpaced by
faith74: we've both just poked our noses out of hiding after a long reclusive period, but she's been a posting fiend lately. I'll have to make up for it once the semester starts and I have something to say beyond "still not writing that paper!"
technosage and I are into Season 7 on our SG-1 marathon, and I'm in Book 5 on my Dresden Chronicles re-read. It's a shame there's no Department of Sci-Fi Series I could try for tenure in!
