Friday was pretty studious. I studied with Raven and that was about it. I had a job interview for delivering pizzas and I met this hot guy at a gas station. Why was I too chicken to ask him out? Raven and I had to wake up early the next day though to go to the Seattle International Film Festival Volunteer meeting. Apparently, it's the biggest film festival in the U.S. and volunteers get free passes. After that we went to this really wierd art show downtown in Pioneer Square. Raven wrote a story about this girl who goes to the UW who is an artist. Her art is really pretty but not very deep, significant or anything else but "pretty". Who says it has to be though. The artist was sharing her show with this other artist who was this middle age housewife who did still life paintings of flowers in vases. Raven mentioned that there would be FREE WINE and poetry readings so naturally I was interested. The first performer was this lesbian (not that there's anything wrong with that) with a mohawk playing a ukelele. Her first song was in Spanish so no one knew what it was about. Her second song was about buying crack---and all the people that were there for the housewifes show were pretty appalled. It was beautiful. I think the lesbian may have been on crack, her girlfriend was definitely on some form of downers. They only let her play two songs. Then, the African American alliance of writers had four representatives who read poetry. The last poet was the best. He read a really long poem that had nothing to do with the exhibit---it was all about him living with porn watching fools. I'm pretty sure he was gay (again, not that there's anything wrong with that). He was wearing really nice long dangling earrings and he kept referring to girls in porn as degraded, insecure and "recipients of men's suppression." After that, Raven and I parted and she went to work while I went to a couple different parks and smoked with some of my other girlfriends.
I came home after having a couple of beers and smoking a ton with no intentions of going out. Raven changed that. She was going to this party in Greek row (ugh) and she wanted me to come with her because she was meeting someone there and she didn't know any of the people who were already at the party. Needless to say, like many UW parties, it was 98% cock. We left minutes after arriving, apparently just in time too. The cops ended up showing up after fifty frat boys bombarded that party. Now, I try and avoid Greek row at all costs. I don't remember ever going and partying there, so last night was pretty interesting. I realized just how crazy Greek row is during the weekends. Drunk people are everywhere and there's a party literally every other house. We party hopped for awhile but that gets old real quick considering all parties are the same ( a bunch of cock waiting for the ladies to get wasted, a few girls on the dance floor doing the "white girl" dance, multiple kegs, girls trying to look pretty even though it's hot as hell, people are puking and their pants barely fit, the smokers outside etc...) Drunken chaos. We went back to one of our friends house. I've been trying to hook him up with Raven for a little while and I was hoping they would finally fuck, but alas, NO, he's one of those passive types (sigh). I caught the last bus home at 1:39am and there was this guy laying on the back seat puking up red wine all over the floor. It wasn't even puke- it was straight up red wine. Everyone on the bus was sitting up front listening to this dude in the back puke and smelling the wonderful scent of red wine vomit--yum. That was my Saturday.
Today I went to the winter pow-wow that the First Nations club at the UW puts on. I ate an indian taco and Raven had fry bread---the stuff that made all the Indians fat. I think I might have found a person to sublease my room this summer while I'm doing my internship, so I'm super excited about that. That's about it.
