Computer drama

My computer decided to die last night.
Okay, it didn't actually "die"

What happened was that I had taken it apart to dust it (my hair was inside the case - hair hair everywhere!) and when I put it back together, I had a lot of trouble with the darn clips that hold the CPU heatsink in place. I assumed I had gotten it in alright since the computer was working all day.

APPARANTLY NOT

I got up the next morning and stared at a blank screen. So I restarted the computer and it worked for a few minutes before dying.
I pulled the computer apart before I got the brainflash of checking the POST (which done through the soundcard, which my headphones are plugged into). It happily told me that the CPU wasn't working.

I pulled the CPU out and put it back in (with a lot of trouble from the darn clips again). No go.
I got my torch and had a look and the heatsink wasn't sitting flush.
I pulled it out and put it back in (surprising, with no trouble from the clips), making sure it was sitting flush, and voila it's working again.

FUCKING CLIPS

Also, I got zapped by the monitor when I unplugged it. Bloody capacitators >:(
