My brother's old computer is dead. It was working, then it rebooted and wasn't.

Upon immediate inspection, the graphics card wasn't sitting right in the AGP slot, so that may have been the cause.

POST insisted that the CPU is failing, so pulled the heatsink and cleaned the dust off it, which didn't do anything because there wasn't that much dust on it. I swapped it out for the spare CPU (which worked the last time I checked it) and it still reported it as failing. So perhaps the mobo is just fried.

In any case, the monitor wasn't getting a signal... but the card was still getting power. I swapped out the 6800GT for the Ti4600 and that didn't work.

Then I gave up because I am tired.
