Do you ever have songs on your iPod/iTunes/music player of choice that you don't listen to for a really long time even though you like them just because you completely forgot they existed?
Example: "Glendora" by Rilo Kiley. I entirely forgot this song existed but I still love it! It reminds me of the spring/summer of 2005 I think. That was probably one of the best summers of my life. The Internet Force Five was so strong then. I miss The Internet (Maria's car) and Big Garbage Night and driving around with nowhere to go and hookah-ing in Maria's basement and hackey sacks and that weekend we went to DC for the Dyke March and.. fuck, that was such a good time.
I can't wait for winter break. Not that I'm not always on break, but Maria will be home. I miss my best friend. I've seen her maybe like, four times in the past like, year and a half. We barely talk these days but she's still one of my best friends. I need to be better at phones and communication but.. it's just not the same as real life. Why'd you have to go and go to school in Florida, hmmm?
Does anyone still have our SUMMER 2005 playlist? The songs we'd listen to all the time in Maria's car? I lost it when I had to put all my music on my laptop.
