I can see through walls now!

I guess I should have posted alot sooner but of course I like to procrastinate. And I'm alittle evil. :p

Last Monday I went in for my second eye exam appointment with the Lasik Vision Center. Before, the doc wanted me to take some fish oil/flaxsee oil and put in some artificial tears in my eyes because they were extremely dry. I always thought it was my allergies but apparently I have dry eyes. *.* So after about 3 weeks of that I went in for another checkup and my eyes have drastically improved and almost cleared up. I was ready for Lasik eye surgery. I went up front to schedule a appointment and low and behold I could get in for the Wednesday. O.O I was shocked I thought I had to wait atleast a week or so. I went to work and informed everyone that I was getting my eyes lasered on. LOL.. Tiff managed to get the day off to go with me.

Wednesday came and I was a ball of nerves. I tried not to show up but I'm sure Tiff knew. They examed me again and decided what type of surgery I was getting. Fortunately, I got Lasik instead of PRK. They took me into another room and I took a valium. I've never had one of those before and felt the effects almost immediately. It was freaky awesome. So next, they took to the room that did all the laser stuff. There was two big machines and one of them I lay back on. The whole procedure did not take long at all and I only had one small discomfort. I choose the option for Translas which is a laser that cuts part of your cornea to make the flap. They can either do it manually or have a laser do it. The laser will cut a thinner flap and it will take less time to heal. It is a more precise cut. Looking up at the machine it looks like a spaceship. They put these drops in my eyes to numb them. then I felt some pressure on my eyeball. The right one was okay but the left one started to hurt alittle. I have alitttle brusing on this one but nothing to bad and it will go away in a couple of weeks. :). When the flap is cut, then my vision just kinda went away. I saw stuff in shades but couldn't actually see. Felt stuff happening and then you see these tiny little burst of red and green light. I guess this is the actual laser. It was pretty cool. Like being in Star Wars or something. Each eyeball takes about 5 minutes and then I was put in a room and told to keep my eyes closed for about 15 or 20 minutes. After that, I went back so the doctor can check my eyes. My left eye the flap had moved a bit. So I had to go under another machine so he can put in a temp contact lens. Then I sat in a room for additional 15 minutes and then the doctor checked me out again. All good. Everything was foggy though which is normal. I checked out and Tiff drove us to burger joint and got us some food. I first amazed that I could see even though everything was foggy. Got home and ate and took another valium. I needed to sleep for about 4 to 6 hours which was very hard to do. I just kinda laid in my bed with these goggles on to protect my eyes and took little naps. Started taking these prescription drops for my eyes and then tried to sleep again. I didn't sleep at all much during the night. The next day I had a followup appointment. The doc removed the temp contact and everything looks good. I had a clear eyesight and 20/25 vision. Near perfect. The doc said it may even get better. I'm just soo happy. It is awesome to wake up and see and not worry about glasses or contacts. All I got to do is be careful and not rub my eyes for a month and put in two drops for one week and then the tears for about 2 months to keep them moist. I love it! I recommend if you can afford it and they also have payment plans and stuff.

Friday, Tiff and I went to Winstion-Salem to watch Davis Cup tennis. It was awesome. I love it live and watching it on TV. Andy Roddick and James Blake played for the USA team against the French. Paul Henri-Mathieu and Michael Illorda. It was close matches. Both USA team members one. The double matches was Saturday. Tiff had to work both saturday and sunday so we couldn't go but some of her other co-workers went. I want to go US Open but it cost a shit load of money.

Well got some work to do so I will go for now but will try to post more later.

caio!
