Here's some fun stuff from work. We rely on several Perl applications. Turns out, anything that relies on the TZ environment variable may not work correctly under Windows without a hotfix.
FIX: Windows-based applications that use the TZ environment variable may not work as expected because of changes to DSTImpact of U.S. Daylight Savings Time changes in 2007 on Perl distribution/code Energy savings is thought, by both US and Australian studies, to be negligible. Apparently, the main positive outcome of this is that some businesses will have slightly better income.
