I totally figured out how to embed video in my LJ posts, thanks to archmage
[YouTube URL (not the object)]

Enjoy the Portal trailer.

Isn't it? It's coming bundled with HL2:Ep2 and Team Fortress 2. Supposed to come out by year's end.

What, besides the fact that it's Half-Life? Are you an unbeliever? :D

YouTube vids are FLVs. right? Will this link methos work with any FLV or video link in general?

Urk. A TLA I do not know. Is FLV Flash Video? Unfortunately, I couldn't find any technical reason for why the span with ljvideo class works. The FAQ says "you cannot embed video in LJ posts".

Sorry, dunno! I did look, though only through Google.

I actually watched the high bandwidth one PA linked earlier today.

OMFG! I don't think I've been excited about a PC game in years, much less this excited.

Portal and the Wii are just about the most exciting things ever! It's a pretty damned good time for gaming.

Portal seems to have broken the long streak of games that don't really interest me. This game looks fantastic!

I really enjoyed a lot of the physics puzzles that were in Half-Life 2. It's done by the same people who made Narbacular Drop. It's a free game. That site's gotten hammered since the Portal trailer came out, but there's a link to it on Fileplanet.
