I've got 7'10" to work with. This seems to imply that I should get a TV between 50" and 60" wide. And, holy crap, is that huge.

I saw some info over at http://hd-gamer.com/ which said that Samsung 1080p DLP TVs will start being available in a June or July timeframe. Considering that it still sounds like DLP is the way to go for me from a price/performance/size perspective, perhaps I should just wait. However, some of last year's Samsung DLPs were where I found the most complaints about lag.
Found information that 16ms or faster response time should be good for gaming, but some that said 8ms or better is really necessary. Unfortunately, I don't see that spec listed with any TVs.
I think, at some point, that I will just have to stop waiting and plunk down for whatever fits.
