I don't think I'm the only one who's putting off making resolutions...
One more day of procrastination couldn't possibly hurt. Plus I want to write a few eloquent words about why I've changed my mind on making resolutions.
In other news, I haven't smoked since before Christmas and will officially be a Nonsmoker for 2008. So far, so good.
Last night I drove from Tucson to Phoenix. On the way I toured Casa Grande with a Certain I haven't seen in way too long, whose awesome sense of humor and creativity is magical in its abundance. Perhaps it stems from his unending quest to find the truly beautiful music of the world. Pehaps.
You might not know this, as few do, but Casa Grande is MORE than an outlet mall off of the 1-10. It even has a historic downtown. More importantly it has Bob's Market, which sits alone on a long, dark street. Bob's Market has a ridiculous amount of trophies. I don't know why.
I picked up Anne Marie from the airport, and I had missed her terribly. But I couldn't muster the excitement I wanted to show her. I had felt like an eager puppy just waiting. waiting. waiting. waiting all week. And then I was a stoic owl, perched in my car waiting for her to get her luggage in the trunk.
The rest of the night was better. We settled into her apartment and talked about our rocky point plans for this weekend.
We trying to get two more people to go. The hotel, gas, and insurance will be about $60 a person and then we just have to pay for two meals and whatever alcohol we want to drink. We leave at 8am tomorrow, arrive around noon, play on the beach and then go to a bar at night! Here's to ordering my first margarita at a bar! Lemme know, 2 spots left.
So, there.
Also, I'm finally getting my tattoo with my brother as soon as I get my first paycheck. We've been brainstorming for almost two years something to symbolize our closeness. We had a variety ideas from the family crest on our backs, "Blood Brothers", "Love", "Roberts", two birds together flying, each others' names, the infinity symbol. Finally he called me a few days ago and said "Why don't we just get 'Forever' tattooed on our ribs, close to our heart. I really dug the idea, so I'm getting "Siempre" and he's getting "Forever".
Okay, stay classy.
