More NaNo glurge
In my infinite dorkitude, I just created a little comparative graph of my NaNo progress. It plots the days on the x-axis and word counts - both daily and cumulative - on the y. Without this I wouldn't have figured out that while I'm on track to cross the 50,000 word finish line, I also have a gradually dwindling daily total for the last three days. The extra progress made on the second day masked it.

So now, the shit shovelling starts. Carting the crap. The plowing of... plums? I don't know. My alliterative mojo just committed seppuku. Anyhow, I figured that I can probably commit to a fair amount of progress if I skip about a little. Rather than keep slogging ahead chronologically, I have some good ideas for eventual scenes that I'll go ahead and write now. I can fill in the gaps later when I'm revising.
EDIT: I changed to the Mice mood theme because they had a nerdy character with little equations over its head. Yeah.
