   Daang, that movie was GOOD.

Things I liked:

• Leonard Nemoy!!!!  He conveyed his love for his friend so well, but still so Spock.
• Kirk cheating the unbeatable test
• George Kirk's you-are-so-not-going-there line to his wife about the name Tiberius
• The references: "I'm givin' her all she's got, Captain.". Vulcan neck pinch. Things non hard-core watchers will get.
• Scotty <3 "I like this ship! It's exciting!"
• ALTERNATE UNIVERSE EXPLANATION! That was nice.
• Sulu passing fenching off as hand-to-hand

Fandomy thoughts:

• There was a preview for G.I.Joe. I think Yoo-min's neck popped, she looked up so fast. Ninth Doc =Destro!
• Not being able to meet/interact with yourself being incorrect "sci-fi". I immediately began going  "dont touch the baby! (ala Doctor Who 'Fathers Day') and laughed when I realized Spock had tricked me too. XD

WTF moments:

• Spock/Uhura. Where the heck did that come from? Not that Kirk's reaction to him getting her first name wasn't hilarious..but wut?
• Sulu...with a Kitana...LOL I thought we weren't going for the stereotypical Samurai? Still funny moment

Overall, I LOVED it. I'm not even really a hard-core Trekkie, and Yoo-min has never watched the show. So if you got a friend who won't see it because they aren't even a casual viewer, tell them it doesn't matter. Knowing the old series is just a bonus for lulz.

And ahahahahaha I got SG-1 Season 3 from Walmart. FINALLY. Last time I went they had 1-5 minus 3...
