Our plans for yesterday were like this:
Wait until the Hermes delivery guy shows up with the parcel and then go into the city/home improvement store.
We needed:
- shoes for Carsten for the wedding
- uni-coloured blazer in either white/creme/beige, because it's awfully difficult to combine my current blazers with floral skirts. The patterns just don't match -.-;;;
- a new big flower pot (rare combination of window positions while airing the flat + strong wind = flower pot on the ground; note to self: avoid this special combination of window positions)
Especially the shoes were important :-)
Hermes person showed up around noon and while we had initially planned to take the tram, we went by car in the end, because the strong wind that had killed the pot had turned into a strong rain by then -.-;
While driving into the city centre we noticed that the tram line we would have taken wasn't running, but they used busses instead. Of course our first thought was if this had anything to do with the black-out from Thursday, but it seems as if they were doing some regular maintenance...
After seeing many shoes, a few blazers and having late lunch in Karstadt these are our results.
Or should I say... result?
There are hardly any uni-coloured blazers in the stores atm, and the single one that looked useful, was 100 €. Thank you, but... no.
Red is nice too and should go fine with jeans at least, even if not with my pink skirt ^^;;;;
The shoes:
We saw a lot of shoes that day and even though you can buy Bugatti shoes all over the place, every store carries a different selection. Which is a bit DUH, because you can't simply walk into shop B if shop A ran out of the one model you like in your size ^^;;; (And I LOVE Deichmann and their "no, you'll have to come again in a week or two when we get the next delivery, maybe your shoe is among them..." policy)
Uhm, yes. Not every shop is like that, but the one pair Carsten really like was only carried by one store and while they had it in his size, it already looked a bit worn, so we wrote down the name and ordered in online from the main branch. I doubt they'll send us the worn out pair...
The flower pot:
We left the last shoe store at 8 PM and only then went "oh... right... the flower pot..."
The poor flower will have to live in a big bucket for the next week, until I'm back home again and we can drive to a home improvement store and buy the big pot there.
