A little bit of our balcony :-)

Currently our balcony is quite colourful and quite green. Sadly, the gooseberry doesn't bear a SINGLE fruit this year, but I think I recall something where gooseberries often don't yield fruits in the first few years. So it might be normal...

My mom gave the pot with apparently two Ruhmeskrone (Gloriosa superba) [no English wiki available ;_;] to us in Winter. At that point it was literally just a pot with soil. You couldn't see anything - only soil... We were supposed to water the pot only after the first green showed. And so we waited and waited.

I think it started in April and then it grew. Quickly. Sometimes more than 5 cm a day, it was really scary. First we still had the pot in the kitchen, but eventually, as days got warmer, we put it out on the balcony. Now the plant is about 1.80 m tall and the blossoms start to show.

First they look like this.

And a few days later like this. And then the feathery thingies there will turn red/pink.
If you know, what the little greenish thing pointing to the left is... let me know.

Our strawberry harvest. Be amazed at the single strawberry!

Our redcurrant looks much better :-)
As does the rosemary. That thing grows!
