Don't mind, don't mind. Enjoy your trip! (on which island are you exactly? And are they all HATING Germany and planning to invade it? or are they too busy getting their lives running somehow with all the cuts the country had to make?)
It was Karpathos, near Rhodes. There wwere a lot of German books at the hotel, and some German clients. I think the locals are mostly interested in pleasing tourists, as it seems the only local source of revenue.
