You remember my first try of making the pumpkin cheesecake? -The one with the two layers?
After I saw that two layers (pumpkin + plain) work, I thought "why not try and make a cheese cake with three layers?"
It worked quite well *.*
The cake I went for was supposed to have three layers
- plain on top
- mango in the middle
- pumpkin as "base"
When I SLOWLY put the mango batter on top of the pumpkin batter, the mango one seemed to be heavier than the pumpkin and I expected a not so pretty result.
I was fretting a lot before cutting the baked cake. Hoping that it had turned out well after all, but after seeing how the mango seemed to mix with the pumkin, I wasn't expecting much. At least it looked quite pretty and not fallen in very much *g*
But I got three layers, even though the difference between the mango layer and the plain topping isn't that big ^^;;
I still have to figure out how to get more taste into the mango one though. I used a fresh mango, which was very tasty and put it in the blender. The result was added to the normal batter and then I put it on the pumpkin layer. Pumpkin tasted great, mango taste was almost not there...
Add more orange something to the mango? Where did the good taste of the fresh mango go? It's not supposed to be baked???
