Of books and music

I've finished read "The Time Traveler's Wife" yesterday and

I'm not really sure what to think about it. Usually, you get to see the PROBLEM quite early on. There is always something that needs to get solved, somebody needs to be saved etc.
Here? I can see that the time travelling is unnerving, especially as he wants it to stop, but they can't find a solution to end it. And of course the whole waiting part on Clare's side is terrible, but does that qualify as problem? I didn't think so.
For the first 310 pages of the book the time jumping etc. continues and while we get to see Henry VERY injured at one point, nothing made me think "so THIS is the problem that we need to solve".
Then, "BAM!" page 310 and we find out he is going to die while he is 43 years old.
So, what do we do for the next 230 pages? We just wait for him to die. Which he does, eventually.

Yes, yes. I know there is no escape from the death, but this whole book was just WAITING. And that on 540 pages.
Which is basically what Clare does her whole life. Waiting for Henry to return to her. And we as readers get to feel this waiting too...

I'm not even sure what I was expecting from the book. It had a lot of action, as he was time travelling here and there and met himself and his future wife and the daughter, who isn't even born yet, but... I can't even put it in words *scratches head*
Maybe it's because I'm not the most patient person ever, so the whole WAITING for ANYTHING to happen was horrible for me.
And I found out that I want to know this "just what is your problem???" in the first 100 pages, please?

And now for something completely different: Music! (or maybe not different, we are still talking about the Arts ^_~ )
Please take a look at the following picture (taken from last.fm), which shows my stats for the last 7 days. Anyone seeing a pattern here?

toshi_hakari, I still owe you the answer to "what is your favourite song on the album"
So, here are my Top 10 songs from the album "Progress".

1. The Flood
2. Happy Now
2. Affirmation
4. Eight Letters
4. What do you want from me
5. SOS
5. Wait
5. Kidz
5. Underground Machine
5. Pretty Things

Obviously I can't really go from 1 to 10, as I can't say for all songs "Oh, I like this one more than that one."

Songs on the same rank I kind of like the same, maybe one a bit more than the other, but five hours later the order is reversed, thus: Same rank for them ^^;;;;
