February 3rd: Asakusa and Takizawa Kakumei

Feb 03, 2010 15:48

When I watched the news this morning they showed lots of people throwing beans at shrines and temples and I just went "No, not AGAIN!", because last year it was really the same. A few days before I still remembered that it would happen on February 3rd and on the very day I'd sleep in -.-
So... later on I first went to Ueno and found the DS game I was still looking for and then went to Asakusa. They are still working on Sensō-ji and will continue to do so until November (if I got the number right. It was all in Japanese numbers, including year 22).

Uhm, yeah... walked around in Asakusa. Took a few pictures. Had Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki and then went to buy strawberry mochi and a bunch of different senbei.

First a random place I saw while passing a bridge. There are all those higher buildings around and then something traditional in-between. Actually you can find places like this all over Japan ^^

The entrance to Sensō-ji (Kaminarimon).

The main gate (Hōzōmon).

And Hōzōmon from the other side.

The five-story pagoda.

The pagoda with Hōzōmon in the background.

And what you can actually see of Sensō-ji at the moment _._

And senbei recommended by Yamapi ^^;;;
Actually I was drawn into the store by some green senbei (I still hope they are matcha - didn't ask _._ ) and after I had decided which box with different senbei I wanted to buy, I suddenly looked down and saw Yamapi ^^;;; (yeah, bought those too)

Honestly, there are like 20 or more stores that sell senbei in that one street and I walk into this one? ^^;;;; Or I should have checked if every senbei store is advertising with him *ggg*

Order is random!

So, I was sitting 2nd floor, A row. Almost dead center. Which is GREAT! Of course with all the dances on the stage, Takki is "just" the shiny short person there, but with the stunts in the air, he is so close *.*

I have kind of a new found love (not really, but...) for Nishikiori. He sings this one song in English (I know I'm repeating this) and you hardly hear any accents. It's THIS SONG btw.
The reason why I like him though is because he loves to make Takki crack up ^^;; They have one or two ad-lib chances though and Nishikiori uses his chances. Takki went down on his knees once and cracked up at least two other times ^^;;;;;

The skeleton was Tsubasa today - and Takki mentioned the "Backborn" release ^_^

Then, the saltos in the air? Because I was so close I could really see him going "Huff... here we go", before he jumped from the trapeze.

For the scene where Hashi, ? (who were you again?) and Takki run through the water, Takki already participated today. Not completely like last year, but at least a bit ^_^

It is Senga who is taking the place of Michael Jackson, when they are doing "Thriller" (paid attention to that!)

musicals, タッキー&翼, japan
