Today's Tokyo

So, here is the post I actually wanted to write.

I met up this morning with Kathrine and Ran from Singapore in Ikebukuro. They still wanted to get money exchanged, but we were too early for the bank in Ikebukuro. So we thought once we are in Nakano, we could try there. Just that there they sent us back to Shinjuku. In Shinjuku the exchange rates were much too high, so in the end they settled to get money from the ATM at the post. And while we were there already, we too a slight detour and walked to the Tokyo Metropolitan Building.
The sky looked like this today.

Hoping we could see Fuji-san from the top, we rode the elevator and... it was all hazy. YEAH. Not -.-;;;
But at least we got to see something that says "THIS IS JAPAN" in the building. We all swear it wasn't there before ^^;;;

Can anybody explain the random turtle there? I get most of the rest, but the turtle? o.O (I didn't know that Kamenashi Kazuya was that important for Tokyo/Japan)

So, back to Nakano and the "Trio" and "Mandarake" there. I'm now the proud owner of a "happy family" (= Tackey Yamapi Ando Tsubasa) coaster. Juniors really had the most random merchandise. There were no Tokio uchiwas (just for the record). After the other two left too much money in the two stores ^^;;;

Then we headed for Harajuku, found out that there are almost no tickets left for Takki ;_; and split up, as the others still had a show to attend to tonight ^^

Well, and then the troubles with my room/toilet waited for me _._
