Ok, this is weird, i am so loved!!!hahaha. Ok I have a few things to say to clarify just a bit, now who said a valedictorian had to show off during graduation, I mean dont people already kno that we can write something "intellectual"?? Wat i was hoping to accomplish is that people would actually listen to my speech, not zone off like im sure they did during ngocs speech, dont bs and tell me u actually listened... I was selfless in the fact that I didnt care how i looked up there, just to allow people to listen, which obviously u all did, and understand my message, that was all. I was not trying to be a comedian up there, I was not trying to be einstein, I was trying to be myself.

About me not deserving the valedictorian position, where in the world did u all get this from? I worked hard all my life, studying like crazy, waking up 0 period, going days without lunch..since when dont i deserve wat i got? Ngoc took simple classes, she didnt bother with ap classes because she wanted to take simple classes for 100's.

Sam, trust me honey, arista has nothing at all to do with being valedictorian. In the program office, there are computers which print out final transcripts, and on those transcripts there is something that comes out at the bottom of the page, something called RANK, and no one can mess with that.

Well, thank you all for making me feel famous, poor oscar, this is the only time ppl respond to his entries. hahahhahahaha.

Ok well, now I must get working on chemistry, then physics, then reading the Iliad, because I am at COLUMBIA, a college u ppl will only see at the movie theatre in SPIDERMAN 2 BABIEE. andddd, in will smiths movie coming out the last first kiss, he was here just yesterday filming it. ok farewell all..and by the way, get a life.

Well first of all I have nothing against you I was just voicing my opinion thats first of all second of all we have no life but you created an LJ account just to spend whatever 'free' time you have to respond to this, third of all its just a little bit of criticism something that happens in everyday life and its manditory for us to like your speech and so we felt like discussing it if youre mad at us for talking about it then you should have never came to read this since you have so little time and lastly id like to thank you for including a piece of our pathetic lives into yours. Like I said its not a matter of hatred but rather a matter of me voicing my opinion about something to someone who said something oh and about Oscars journal and people rarely responding well you obviously fall into that category of people

oh and im not saying that oscar rarely gets comments im saying that according to you he does and according to your analysis, you know something people are allowed to do whether it be a speech or LJ comments, you too fall into that category

Ghada this is not to be mean or nasty this is just to explain things that you might not seem to understand...we are mearly stating our opinions...we never said we hated your speech, we just stated how we felt that ngocs was more formal. No one said anything horrible about your speech. we also were dicussing how we felt that it was wrong the way ngoc was promised validictiorian in the beginning of the year, and kelly was salute, and then it got changed around for one reason or another. We never said u didnt deserve it because im sure you worked hard for it.
You know i use to have alot of respect for the fact that you dont ever fluant around your accomplishments and never try to put anyone down because they dont have what you have, but now reading what you posted i lost that respect for you. No one knew ngoc when she came to america 5 yrs ago except me. She couldnt speak a word of english, but yet still got better grades than me. She deserved to be sitting next to you on stage, and even thought people are making fun of her english on this lj entry left and right, i am proud of how far she has come. Ngoc couldnt take ap classes because of her english problem, im sure if she was in america more maybe she would have. she worked just as hard as you did, trust me.
I honestly never would have expected you to throw the fact of being in cloumbia in to everyones face. Its one thing to be proud that you are in columbia, but another to flaunt it the way you did. Some people spend many hours a night studying for classes just to barely pass. Its not their fault that they dont have the mental capicity as others to retain all that knowledge to be in all ap classes.
I still think that you are a very talented person that will go very far in this world...but in all honesty you are better than this. You shouldnt have to creat an lj account just to try to defend your speech, thats being a little childish.
I guess i am done with what i have to say...its over and we have new things to look for in our lives...there is too many things coming ahead for us to dwell on this subject. good night!
