Unfortunately, Elena had about 2 seconds of screen time (if it was indeed her near the end with the rest of the Turks). But at least Yuffie had like, 5 seconds. :P

I do agree, though: To a non-fan, the movie would have made absolutely no sense at all. Although interestingly enough, the movie actually kind of helped me to make sense of what the heck was going on in the game (I pretty much lost track of what exactly was going on in the middle of disc 2, but then again, this was about 6 years ago). I enjoyed the movie, and I'll probably watch it again, if only to fully absorb what exactly is going on in the fight scenes, and laugh at some of the overly silly bits.

I watched it again, paying particular attention to the layout of the city to try to make heads or tails of the layout.

I failed.

Someone on OCR though said something about it being "Edge". Like, WTF? I never heard of that. But then again, I didn't see all of the trailers.
