A Scanner Darkly
"A Scanner Darkly" is a movie that I just saw. It's really trippy. REALLY trippy. It uses a lot of rotoscoping and CG to give the entire movie an animated look to it, although it was portrayed by real actors. It's a movie about a new drug on the street called Substance D, and so the main character is trying to fight the drug war. The movie's based on a novel by Phillip K. Dick.
Go see it. It's trippy. It's so trippy. It's also immensely confusing, but I think the 100 minutes or so is worth just seeing what the movie is.
