(no subject)
Work has slowed to a crawl. Hardly any coming in at all, which is especially ironic considering that I just got "promoted" last month to the main roster at my agency from the "New Talent" roster. I thought this would mean more and better jobs, but apparently this means fewer and crappier jobs. Who knew? To add to this fun I saw my accountant last week and learned that I owe the feds and state a combined total of approximately $8,600. Go me. I tell myself that God didn't bring me this far just to drop me on my ass now, but that's hard to remember at times like this. Luckily what I have in savings will cover this, but it will take a huge chunk out of it, and I had felt really good about having a nice little bit in savings. Well, you know what they say: nothing in life is certain in life except death and taxes. January and February are usually pretty slow so I'm hoping things will pick up pretty soon.
