I keep waiting to hear of Writers and producers maybe even the actors getting letters and emails from fans for the right to use clips of there favorite shows.
It also means that Artist like Leona Naess who in her cd liner notes give free uses of her work to people. If we have to go back to buying CDs to get the proof of use. I think I-tunes and others who don't seam to get that once you bought a copy of something you have free use of it.
They don't seem to get that in the corporate world that a lot of shoes live and die by the fandome they have out on the net.
In Japan they have doujinshi or really fanfiction or fanart. They even let you sell it. I have to wonder how many shows will fall when they no longer have an internet fan base drawing new viewers in.
So go check your CDs and find out what artist have given use of rights to the cd owner. Someone should start a list. We might just end up using more classical music then modern.
One things for sure that Joss Whedon gave permission to bootleg and fan use to the fans.
I have to wonder how the BBC feels about this as they let fans run rampant with Doctor Who.
Joss can give permission, but what about the companies he is producing for? Doesn't matter what he says. If he makes Avengers, he doesn't own copyright for them. Stan Lee and Marvel do.
Stan lee loves it and marvel will most likely say budkus cause most of the creative stall came from showing people like Stan and Terry fan fan art. All the comic companies troll Dvart for new talent.
The comic end should be fine as long as no one is making money off of it.
