Initial D: Rally Style (PG)

Summary: We know why Mako races, but what's Sayuki getting out of being on the team?
Notes: Not Exactly NaNo for October 3, and the result of my new copy of First Stage. Would you believe, when it comes to Impact Blue, the English dub is even slashier than the Japanese? Not enough to have me changing out the names or anything, but still.

RALLY STYLE
*
Sayuki has high standards. That's actually why she doesn't drive on her own: she's an okay driver, but not racing caliber. Mako had the skills, and the obsession that keeps her practicing until those skills are perfect.

Mako also has no social skills, so shy she can barely look a guy in the eye without blushing. Sayuki tells her she should be bolder, because Mako's her best friend and it's her duty to tell her things like that.

Really, it's okay. So long as Mako stays car-obsessed, Sayuki will have her all to herself. And that suits her fine. She'll amuse herself with boys until Mako wises up, but eventually Mako will notice her. She's a smart girl. She'd have to be -- Sayuki's got high standards, after all.
