Toy Soldiers: Where We're Going (R)

May 30, 2006 07:03

Summary: What do you mean, Back To The Future isn't a romantic classic?
Notes: For prompt 79, "when?" Smut and silliness herein. Also, timing was with me for a change, so happy birthday, linnpuzzle!

I was going to try to drop a hint, not throw a grenade! )

fanfic100, pairing: billy/joey, fandom: toy soldiers

"Oh, yeah, sure -- for fuck's sake, I was pretty sure you weren't gonna punch me in the face for making a move, but I wanted to take it slow, okay?"

This whole thing made me go "Awww!" a lot (and fanning myself a lot as well...) but that like was just...wonderful. Worried Billy is so cute!

His chest hurt. Of course it's real,, Joey wanted to say, I was gonna say something even if you didn't. But when he opened his mouth, what came out was, "...of a lifetime?"

*snerk* Cute teenage boys are still horny teenage boys. Awesome line.

Thanks! This was a great start to my morning!

You're welcome! I'm so glad you enjoyed it (and that the boys were cute in the right ways ;).

I have to say that I am tickled pink by both the title and how you interpreted the prompt. And, of course, the story itself. ;)

I was flailing around trying to come up with a title, and finally resorted to looking through the quotes file on IMDB. At which point I realized I was being silly and it had been right there all the time. :) Glad you liked it -- I enjoyed the excuse to re-watch the movie!

It seems like they're giving fairly interesting prompts for this thing. I'm almost regretting not signing up. Then again, I think I was insane signing up for the Two of Us challenge, so there you go.

Nicely done :)

The thing about the fanfic100 prompts is that they're all single words, and you're allowed to interpret them damn near any way you please. This is both very freeing and kind of terrifying, which is part of the reason I've been basically writing the stories first and picking the prompts after the fact.

I'm glad you liked it. :)

Well, I do have practice. :) I'm so glad you liked it. (And I'm going to claim I meant the scene to read that way. I'm not sure what the mental image was, but I'm going to claim I meant it anyway. ;)
