Icons + Discussion
Hello ^^
I'm Akari and I just recently got into Karneval.
I bring 20 colored icons, and not in a fake cut!

Even if we've only the first volume scanlated, I think some discussion is nice!
Which are your favorite characters? How do you feel about Black Sheep? Do you ship anything? What would you like to see more in the manga? What you don't really like about it?
And so on~ I'd really love to read what everybody thinks.
My favorite character is the Black Sheep Yogi. I absolutely love his personality! At first, I thought he'd be another one of those womanizer characters, but I'm glad he turned to be different. I really like how he's powerful, yet the way he behaves... He gets lot of screentime too! The only character I don't find particularly appealing is Nai. And I really hope Tsukumo gets more screentime, because she seems awesome. I love how she appears serious, but she looks really feminine and girly inside. Gareki and Hirato tie in second place as my favorite, though. For now, Hirato seems to have a generic personality (four eyed, mysterious and mean looking guy?) but I really like it nonetheless.
But I still love the sheep, they're so adorable. They're the first mascot in any manga I really find cute, and not annoying. Maybe because it's their purpuose to be annoying? So they don't end up being like that by accident. Er...?! I find their design really pretty, too. Such beautiful clothes and color combination! It's my favorite set of clothes in the entire volume, I want a hat like that. *envious*
Not that I end up really caring about canon, but since the only canon ship we have is this one
I'll take the second option
Y-Yeah, I think mabe it's a little too early for me to find my OTP but I have the impression I'll make Gareki my little black dress of the fandom if I don't control myself *coughs*.
I'd like to see more circus scenes in the manga! What attracted me to it in the first place was the setting. I love carnivals, they make wonderful fantasy and horror stories. I think the atmosphere of Karneval is great, specially in the scenes where the circus is making presentations.
I also love the colors the artist uses. It's rare to find something so colorful! And even though it has this dark undertones, she uses lots of pink and orange and hot colors in soe pictures.
What I don't really like is Nai as a main character, but it's rare for me to enjoy the MC in comparison to everyone else. Nai seems so bland ^^; The innocent type of personality doesn't cut it for me, but it's personal. The manga doesn't seem to be less enoyable because of it, and I don't think it would work if Nai wasn't as innocent.
I think this will be my favorite manga for the year already!
