.... oh. wait, what? two karoku's? so that other person on page 144 of the sixth volume is the original karoku, and the one nai ran to first was the clone?

then... sfkjhldf. which one was which every time we've seen him, then? have we always been seeing the clone throughout the manga?

"More like, he's letting them take care of Nai, because for some reason he doesn't want Kafka know about Nai at all."
sounds to me like clone karoku is just using circus if that's the case.

and about that last bit.. that was explained in chapter thirty, right? then the one nai was talking to.. was that the real karoku? or the clone?

I haven't touched Karneval in a long time, so I have to rely on my memory.

Page 144... Okay. The one standing is the jerk-clone Karoku, the one lying is probably the original Karoku. Jerk-clone Karoku has never met Nai in person until that moment. He only knows about Nai because the original Karoku told him, he (the original) really wanted to see him (Nai). The original one is unconscious and wakes up later at Akari's workplace and has no memories of Nai.

The one we saw in Nai's memories is the original. The one we saw associating with Kafka is the clone-jerk and the clone-jerk is also the one who communicated with Nai. The original Karoku was a prisoner of Kafka's and he was to be disposed of eventually.
