How come?

Let’s have something substance-less will we...
When I'm upset I cut my hair. Mostly because I’m too old or to poor for most of the other nasty shit one can do. It makes me happier in that shallow airhead kind of way.
Unfortunately when I woke up this morning I discovered what the crucial difference regarding my looks was between today and a couple of ( Read more... )

the hair.
(I'm the owner of a permanent bad hair day, which is the result of not being lucky with the genes and not giving that much of a care)

There you're saying something - I can relate all too well.
It's just a tragedy, the more if one isn't the kind of person that's given to spending two hours every morning on some kind of styling.

I'm still waiting for the perfect product that you just spray on, and magically your hair becomes awesome. Or at least more presentable.

I visit the hairdresser when other Mrs Moon tells me to (thought not always the first time) and I refuse any kind of "you should try another style, only takes ten extra minutes every morning... no thanks)

That miracle product would be something, but I don't see it happen any time soon.

Haha, well, as long as she's not nagging you about it x)
And I mean I am vain, but I can never follow through with those 'ten minutes extra every morning'...

Nope -__-

She knows me long enough to know that nagging won't help much. ;-)
If she wanted a pretty doll, she wouldn't have married me.

We're all a bit vain, I've just accepted I'm not willing to work for it. (not like I would work for my writing, and you for your art)

Oh, there are enough people who would keep nagging, lol. even some who have been together for a time as long as you two have. But then, it's true, I doubt they'd really mean it seriously, heh.

True...

That's true, but often it's more of a habit, an act. I guess many old relationships don't look half as nice as the new ones, but then, staying together for a really long time isn't always about nice and pretty.

This kind of habit or act must not be anything negative though. My grand parents (and yeah, of course they were/are older than you, but just as an example, as they're about the only long-term older relationship I know well) were nagging at each other about all kinds of things, but it was always just a sign of how really well one knew the other one, and it was never serious. It's the kind of relationship I would have always wanted for myself.
