WC 2010 South Africa. Recap.
The World Cup 2010 is over. South Africa was a great host, and the people made it a really good time, with vuvuzelas and all. Yeah, also despite those, lol.
There were dissappointments and moments, issues and games that I dread recalling.
But there were things of awesome as well.
Congratulations to Spain for winning the title. Here's to hoping they will be more fun to watch in the next cup.
Congratulations to the Netherlands for coming 2nd. No champions, well, I guess that means we'll still be joking about you then, hehe ;)
And congratulations to the new young German team for coming 3rd. Again. It was a lovely performance. It was fun and exciting to exerience most of the time, and I don't think there is anything to be ashamed of, also considering the tragic losses and setbacks we had to cope with in the forefront of the cup.
And a special cheer to Thomas Müller who won top scorer and best young player, and deservedly so! :D
Also congratulations to Uruguay for making it that far and offering so much entertainment and fabulous football.
Just as there were teams that disappointed, there have been those that have surprised with their great performances. That's what I will try to remember.
Soon the qualifications for the European Championship will start ;D Yay!
