Yesterday, finally, we went to see the Alemannia Aachen/ Werder Bremen match.
God, did I feel torn! My Aachen was playing against MY Bremen... pretty ermm - placative that it was a 2:2 in the end, lol.
It's been quite a lot of fun, quite impressive too, standing 6 meters away from where the guys were fighting for the ball.
I guess that's the drive of someone who's been to a boyband concert before, the inner urge to try to be as close as possible, lol.
My sister really brought that "Klose"... "close(r)" pun, and I still had to laugh at it.
... Even though I must say Miro wasn't fighting THAT hard. Everytime someone kicked out in his direction he was jumping 3m away... Well, maybe it's as my dad said, he has to play for some years yet, and if he gets himself injured badly for nothing... Still that idea doesn't get along well with my usual attitude, but then again, players like him HAVE a lot to lose.
Torsten Frings was bitchy, lol. A little frustrated the boy, maybe. And Diego... oh well, he stumbled over his feet 4 times in the first half...
I was freezing and I could have done without some of the abusive language around, but the atmosphere, the cheering after a goal was scored, e.g. after Jan Schlaudraff scored his, and the singing made up for lot of the other things. Also I must say I had nearly forgotten the "Was ist grün und stinkt nach Fisch (what's green and reeks of fish...)? - Werder Bremem" sing sang... Lol. sorry...
But damn, did everyone look fine! It's such a different feeling to see them live - my sis was looking for Clemens Fritz all the while, lol. - you realize they're real and actually realistic, true. Not that I hadn't known that much before, but this is about how you feel. Sometimes your head tells you one thing and your guts, your imagination, something else.
... This morning there was a picture of Miro on the first page of our newspaper. Had the photographer gone just one step in the other direction I would have been on it, lol.
