Curiosity killed the Karne

When I became a Christian no one really told me what to expect.  I knew I was supposed to read and pray and probably stop selling kidneys on the black market, but I had no idea what it was supposed to feel like to have a relationship with God.  A lot of times I wondered if I was doing it right, and more often than not I wondered if I was just plain ( Read more... )

Do you talk to God?
Yes.
How?
Out loud or sometimes in a running internal conversation all day long. Often we speak in silence to each other.

Does God speak to you?
Yes.
How?
Sometimes He moves on my heart or sometimes it's through others. He certainly speaks through his Word.

How else do you interact with God?
Music, poetry, silence, scripture and humor.

Do you sense God's presence?
Yes.
When?
Worship, private and corporate. Prayer.
How?
It helps to quiet myself but it often comes as a surprise at unplanned times. When I lead worship I often feel His pleasure.

How do you get God's attention?
I always have His attention. From the moment He created me he has kept His eye on me.

How does God get yours?
Blessings and trials.

What's unique about your relationship with God?
Absolutely nothing and everything. He offers His all to all who seek Him. He blesses me personally without separating or elevating me from others.

How do you know God is real?
When I was in the eighth grade I was walking over this little ridge and I just knew He was real. It took me four more years to accept Christ and give my life to Him. Faith is the short answer but my life is a testimony of so many events it would take a good long time to relate them all. Besides, I grow weary of skeptics who insist I prove to them only that which He can reveal to the human heart. To them I say, "Prove He isn't."
