We have a lift at work that is disabled friendly - it has 2 sets of buttons, another one with brail low down on the wall for people in wheelchairs, and as well as having 2 sets of display lights that tell you what floor you're on, it also speaks the floor name out loud for the sight impared.
When the doors open to a floor, the 2 sets of display lights tell you the floor number, the lift speaks the floor number aloud, the inside of the lift doors tell you what floor you're on and there is a big number on the wall outside the door telling you what floor you're on. That's at least 4 different ways of letting you know what floor you are on.
Why do people then ask me "What floor is this?"
