“That isn’t your concern,” I answered in my calmest tone.
“Because, you know, Bella has breasts, and seeing those for the first time might make you,” instead of finishing his sentence he made a grand gesture of chomping his teeth together angrily. “You know what I mean?”
I knew what he meant. The idea of Bella’s body causing me to become unrestrained constantly haunted me. Still, there was no need to be so graphic about the implications.
“I am aware of that, yes.”
“In fact, you might want to prepare for your upcoming exploration,” he winked at me before pulling a crumpled magazine out from the drawer beside him, “with this.”
A dirty magazine opened to a particularly revealing centerfold was suddenly staring me in the face. I didn’t know what was more astounding, the Brazilian woman’s assets or the fact that Emmett actually thought that this would help my situation ( ... )
