Chekov’s fingers fly across the board in front of him, all numbers and symbols and buttons. His jaw is set in a firm line, his clear, striking eyes flying from screen to screen. It takes deft fingers and sure hands to perform Chekov’s duties, and no one knows that better than Sulu.
Those fingers also know their way around a uniform - he can have Sulu naked in twenty seconds or less.
Chekov was all numbers and data during the day, but at night, with the curve of his back pressed to Sulu’s front, their fingers intertwined…he was anything but mechanical.
