It is just about official....
I am moving to Japan April 20th!
I accepted a position as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT).
I'll be living in Miyagi Prefecture and I'll be there for a year.
I hope to stay longer though.
When I first thought about moving overseas, I wanted to go to South Korea.
But over the summer I changed my mind to Japan. I am really interested in the people and culture and I want to be truly fluent in another language. I also selected Japan because I need something to shake my life up and an experience that makes be grow as a person and citizen of the world.
If you live in the DC/MD/VA I will probably be having a going away dinner. I definitely make an effort to meet everyone before I go.
